Am finally getting this posted!
A week before my 60th birthday, John whisked me away for four days at one of my favorite spots in the world...White Bay on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. It's a beautiful bay with a white sand beach that looks out on the BVI as well as St. John and St. Thomas. We stayed at the Sandcastle which is rigt on the beach and has about 6 cabanas. Oh, and did I mention they have a famous drink called the Pain Killer at their famous Soggy Dollar Bar?
It was just a beautiful week. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
Heading over on the ferry to Jost Van Dyke. A flight change caused us to miss our connection that would have gotten us to the beach for the sunset, so we settled for seeing it off the ferry.
This was our cabana just off the beach.
Our view when we walk out our door.
Our sitting room in our octagonal cabana.
Our bedroom
After a nice dinner and drink at the open air bar, we went to sleep to the sound of the surf. We got up early the next morning and took a morning walk on the beach.
View from our door looking east about 6:30 a.m.
Is John thinking about getting in and taking a ride?
About 4 businesses have established themselves just to the west of the Sandcatle and The Soggy Dollar Bar.
This is Sidney's One Love, Sidney being the son of the famous Foxy.
Ahh...the famous Soggy Dollar Bar....without the midday crowd.
And what is that in my right hand? A Painkiller perhaps?

How we spent our days!
Boats coming in a midday. The catamarrans are practically all you see down there now.
