Two weeks ago our two ducks left us. A third duck showed up and the next thing we knew the three of them were walking in a single line down to the water to swim off. Two or three days later, only Amelia returned. We don't know if that is good news or bad news for Pepper. The two were inseparable so we are worried something has happened to her.
As for Amelia, she continues to come back, plop into the pool while John cleans it, and still swims back to beg a little grain. Tucker chases her and she flies off. When we see her swimming in the pond and we call her, she paddles on over.She is a loyal duck!
Even though they waddle, there really is something graceful about ducks.
