Heather, George and Julie took John and me out to dinner November 5th. We went to Boom in Old Lyme and had a great time.

No cake for dessert...creme brulee would have to do!

We did have fun and even called Pat and Chrissy from the table.

Three weeks until Thanksgiving! Live for the family moments.

What can I say? It was my birthday so I bought myself another Stave puzzle. This one was a four-sword teaser and was fun to do. It's called Bubbles.

Ever have one of those days, when something seems
 a bit 'off' but you just can't put your finger on it...

Finding a time we could all get together as a family to complete the Circus Train was almost as tricky as Roo Romp but we did it over Thanksgiving weekend. Fellow puzzlers included:

George didn't stay for the puzzling but Uncle Kim up from NYC was trapped!

and there may have been a little "trash talking" about who would be finished first.

Uh.....Heather, did you read the directions? The balls have to be in a circle with the star in the red ball.

Back to the drawing board.

All of a sudden all the chatter and banter stopped.

How the heck do you get the lions "inside" the cage?

Darn...this doesn't look right.

Correct...this is the wrong solution. The elephants have to be facing one and other with the small blue ball in the red ball.

Dad finishes first!

Not a puzzler, we gave him the caboose that had no tricks.

It took two days...yes, two days, to complete the train. Chrissy dominated with her perseverance and dogged determination.
